The Centralia Timberland Library is a partnership between the city and Timberland Regional Library. Please visit http://www.trlib.org/ for programs and library events.

The city owns and maintains the building, while the regional library district provides staff, books, and magazines. The Centralia Timberland Library is one of the Carnegie Libraries, so named because it was built with donations from 19th-century industrialist Andrew Carnegie. Audiovisual materials and electronic resources are also available.

Between 1886 and 1919,  Carnegie's donations of more than $40 million paid for 1,679 new library buildings in communities large and small across America.

For more information on the Carnegie legacy, and how it shaped education in America, visit the National Park Services site, Carnegie Libraries: The Future Made Bright.
