Forty-eight officers and employees “Work in partnership with our community to protect life and property, reduce crime, and enhance the security and quality of life in our city.” As a Community Oriented Policing agency, we look for innovative ways to address concerns in Centralia, working to make our community a safer place to live, work, and play. As part of the City’s public safety team, the department provides professional enforcement, prevention, planning, and coordination of services that contribute to discourage criminal behavior and enhance the image of our community.
We believe that we can be most effective when we engage in partnerships with our community to address problems that contribute to criminal activity.
Communication with those we serve is an important part of our work. We distribute an E-Newsletter every three months and post bit on our website. If you would like to receive the newsletter directly, please let us know via e-mail to cpd@centralia.com.
It is an honor to lead the men and women of the department. Our 33 commissioned police officers, special service officer, officer manager, five police records technicians and five community services officers are all dedicated public servants who consider it a privilege to serve you. I hope you enjoy your visit to our web site and if you have any questions about police department operations, please feel free to contact me.
